Details

Simbec Research Ltd is running a study to investigate a drug called BIA 5-1058. BIA 5-1058 is being developed for the treatment of Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (PAH).  During the study you will also be given a drug called furosemide. The purpose of this is to investigate how BIA 5-1058 and furosemide interact with each other.

This study firstly involves a quick screening visit, this is followed by 3 treatment periods. Each treatment period will involve you staying at Simbec for 4 days and 4 nights.

You will also need to attend Simbec for a follow-up study visit. Please see further details below.


 

 

 

Also, in order to be suitable for this study you should not be a:

A vegan or vegetarian, a smoker or a female on any form of hormonal contraception.
